On 11th May our former Chair, Jen Morgan attended the Museums and Heritage Awards, accompanied by husband, David, at a ‘glittering ceremony’ in London!
Jen was nominated for her stalwart service to the charity, combating challenges and spearheading every success for nearly a decade. Jen was Highly Commended by the panel for her amazing achievements! For her work with the Museum of Bath Stone, Jen’s name can be found on the M + H Awards website among others like Plas Mawr Tudor House team (managed by Cadw, the Welsh Government equivalent of English Heritage!), Leicestershire County Council Participation Team and Museums Service, North York Moors National Park and Jersey Heritage - all large heritage organisations! Jen was as happy as us to hear the winner announced as our neighbours, the Cleveland Pools volunteer team who work just 10 minutes down the road restoring Britain’s oldest lido!
Jen and David enjoyed a 3-course feast and drinks enjoying the company of other nominees from such places as the Foundlings Museum (winner of the ‘Learning Programme of the Tea’ award) and National Museums Liverpool (highly commended for the same). Everyone was treated to top-notch service from the staff at the venue with dishes being delivered to each guest in perfect synchronisation.
We send many thanks and congratulations to Jen for her commendation and years of enthusiastic dedication and look forward to working with her for many years to come.
